Dear Stradigma Readers,

"Muslims are equal to terrorists" approach, together with the struggle to religious terrorism in the world in parallel to the USA's global policies after the September 11, 2001 attacks; leaded frequent discussions of "Religious Terror" concept in the academic circles. Starting from this point, we placed an article, in which the West's approach to Islam and the definition of terror are analyzed, in the September issue, which mainly covers the second anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

There exists analysis related to the Middle East problem after the Cold War era and the "harmony" of the European Union's foreign policy in the Iraq War as demonstrated after the dissolving of Yugoslavia the 8th issue (September 2003) of the Stradigma E-journal.

Related to Caucasians, which has great impacts on the geography of our country, we placed an article in this issue, on political developments in Azerbaijan preceding the near presidential elections by regarding its importance of both the domestic and regional politics.
