Dear STRADIGMA readers,
Once more we are happy to be with you in
our 4th issue replete with analysis and articles.
We would like to thank all writers supporting
us with their genuine work.
We have tried in this 4th issue (May 2003)
of STRADIGMA to examine the below issues:
U.S.' global policies and national security
strategy, the possible scenarios to be put
on the scene following the past war in Iraq,
the possible effects of this war on Azerbaijan
and Iraq, the new understanding of security
of the EU and problems it may face concerning
the expansion. Here this latter issue is also
studied in terms of Christianity and human
rights as well as within a framework of possible
foreign policy diversions. Cyprus' vital status
for Turkey within a context of international
relations and regional balances of security
is also another issue that fill our pages.
Thus we have tried our best in trying to cooperate
the best we can to studies in related fields.
In this new issue of STRADIGMA; we
have tried to enrich our content by sparing
some space for interviews. Here, in this 4th
issue we present you an interview on the future
of the EU and on various actualities realized
with Prof. Dr. Atilla Eralp, Chairman of the
METU Department of International Relations.
Together with all the articles, commentaries
and interviews, we hope for the joyride the
4th issue of STRADIGMA is about to
take you on. We are extremely happy to find
the support of our readers with us in our
work aiming at the becoming of Turkey into
a stabile and powerful regional power in the
days to come with our studies and researches.
Until the upcoming and another full 5th issue
(June 2003)...
Sincerely,
Yüksel SAMAST
