These days, Turkey is wedged
between its past and present… Regardless of
Ankara's attitudes on Iraq and on Cyprus, we
are going to undergo their short and long-term
effects all together. We retain our understanding
that our national interests will be preserved
in both issues in the future just as they have
been preserved up until now. A difficult process
awaits our country in these days when one considers
that global dynamics have started changing and
important turning points are being experienced.
STRADIGMA.COM hopes to contribute to
this process by producing unique and high-quality
content offering strategic analyses.
Following our first issue,
we have included commentaries on those dimensions
of the Iraq war and the post-war situation which
concern Turkey and studies on ensuring the priorities
of Turkey and the TRNC (Turkish Republic of
Northern Cyprus) and their future interests
in efforts to resolve the Cyprus problem in
our second issue.
In this issue, we have discussed
the prospective shape of regional structures
when and after war breaks out in Iraq and sought
to focus on the future of Turkish elements within
Iraq, Turkey's historical rights on Mousul,
the effects of the war on Turkish domestic politics,
the conceivable forms threats to our country
can take and the extent to which Turkey could
become involved in decision-making processes
within this context.
As we have suggested in our
first issue, STRADIGMA.COM attaches great
importance to experts' articles, analyses and
assessments with its principle of distinguished
and scientific publishing. Our journal is primarily
on international relations, politics, history,
governance, security, economics, science and
technology is open to all other disciplines
suitable for strategic analysis. We kindly request
you to send your articles and analyses to be
published after copyright fees.
In our April issue, we want
to include analytical studies which focus on
alleged genocide claims made up by Armenians
and realities, attitudes and policies of the
USA and EU countries on this, Cyprus and Turkish-Greek
relations, missionary activities aimed at our
country and ethnic and sectarian similarities
and differences between Iran and Azerbaijan.
We are pleased to have published our second
issue with your support.
