Dear Stradigma Readers,
We are happy to meet with you with the 6th
issue of Stradigma Journal (July 2003) by
the valuable contributions of specialists
on the very important subjects of "water"
and Central Asia.
In this issue, we give place to articles
on the vital importance of water, pertaining
both for the world and especially for our
region; the disputes originating from transboundary
water resources; hydroelectric energy and
related policies.
Also, we touched the matters on Central Asia
region, which has still a key role in determining
global balances, and an important place in
Eurasia jeopolitics; such as the current identity
problems, religious fundamentalism, the activities
of missionary organizations in the region,
along with the changes in the international
system.
By considering the importance of Central
Asian Republics from the Turkey's point of
view, there exists a very significant study,
analyzing the cooperation strategies and the
potential scenarios between Central Asian
Republics and Turkey, in the vision studies
section of Stradigma.
We also wish you to read with pleasure the
interview with Prof. Cemalettin TAŞKIRAN,
Head of International Relations Department
of the Çankaya University.
In the next issue of Stradigma (August 2003
- 7th issue); we will give place to the studies
on the role of Russia both on regional and
global politics, its internal political developments
and Turkey-Russia relations.
